Blackthorn Community Plan

WHAT DO YOU THINK IS IMPORTANT?

Blackthorn Parish Council is currently working on the creation of a new Community Plan. To achieve this we need your help and participation!

Why is this necessary? Putting this plan in place is a requirement of Cherwell District Council.  Also, in view of the terrible weather we experienced last year we want to minimise the impact of any similar events in the future for our residents.

To create our plan we would like you to complete a short questionnaire; this will help us to understand what support we need to put in place for those people who may at risk, particularly in difficult situations. To action this we need to identify residents who might need special help or who may be vulnerable both in times of emergency or on a day-to-day basis.   All information received will be in strictest confidence.

If you have further comments and ideas, which are not covered on the form, you will be able to include these on the back of the form or on a separate sheet.  The questionnaire will be issued soon and we ask that as many people as possible take the time to participate to ensure we have all of your views.

Another huge thank you to Sandie Stevenson and all her helpers who hosted a Burns Supper at her home in Blackthorn to raise funds for the Village Hall Fund.  The evening was a huge success with wonderful food, great company and even a piper to pipe in the haggis!  Over £800 was raised and everyone it waiting for next years invite.
